Day 143+

Dear Friends,

My apologies for not updating the blog sooner. I just returned from a week in Ireland on Monday and have been babysitting my sick grand daughter since. Happy, to say Kaitlyn is doing fine, just the constant colds that children pick up in daycare.

Since I last wrote, Bill has visited Houston for his first check up. Dr. Champlin was very happy with his progress. He had a spinal tap and the chemo to his spine. Thank God the spinal fluid was once more free of leukemia. He also had the blood test to evaluate the chimerism . It is with a very happy heart and a very big thanks to God that I can report to you that his blood is 100% donor( i.e.Frank's) We live from one test result to the next. We do not relax until we hear the results. We have been blessed with wonderful results thus far. May the continue, until Bill is declared cured. This is a big weekend for us here in Indianapolis.

Little Kaitlyn is being christianed. My sister Kathy and brother John and niece Dorothy are travelling from Ireland for this wonderful event. Ryan's family are also travelling from Chicago. It is wonderful to celebrate these happy occasions in light of the past nine months. We wish everyone safe travels and look forward to seeing you all. Duty calls and I must head over to take care of my grand daughter. Seeing the smile on her face when I arrive is better that all the diamonds in Africa. We are blessed as a family.

Thank you all again for your continued prayers. We could not have made it without your constant prayers and good wishes. Please continue to pray. We live from one test result to the next.

Day + 125
I have not posted a blog for the past few weeks, as there was very little to update you on. He went to Boston to spend some time with Frank and his family last week. His uncle John Deane came from Ireland to Boston to see him. They all had a good time in that wonderful city.

Bill and his Dad leave for Houston on Wednesday for his first check up since we left. He has been having his blood checked here in Indianapolis each week and it continues to remain stable. He will have a spinal tap and the usual monthly dose of chemo to his spine. Please God the visit will go well.

He returns to Houston again at the end of November. This next visit he will have a bone marrow biopsy and MRI. We are so thankful to God that each step is moving in the right direction. Please continue to keep Bill in your prayers and thoughts. Leukemia is a very tricky disease and takes many twists and turns. Please pray that the road ahead is straight and there are no bumps. May God keep Bill in the palm of His hand.
