Thank you so much for visiting our blog. As you all know, Bill is loved by so many, in so many countries across the world - and we want to make sure you are up to date on his health. The support we have received from our family and friends is truly a blessing and we want to thank you so much. On this blog, I will be giving regular updates on Bill. Please feel free to share comments/ask questions and I will get back to you asap.

Day 170

It is hard to believe that it has almost been 6 months since Bill's stem cell transplant. He sees the doctor here in I.U every other week and has his blood tested. So far he has had very stable blood results.

His energy continues to improve and his attitude is just as positive as ever. He still needs to be very careful about being in crowded situations, thus he is housebound most of the time. The H1N1 flu virus is always a worry.Hopefully he will receive the vaccination for it in the coming weeks.

He travels to Houston on November 30th for his 6 month check up. At that time he will have a bone marrow biopsy and a MRI of his brain. He had his last bone marrow biopsy 3 months ago. As you can imagine this is a very important test and it is the true test of his health condition. We ask for your continued prayers that he will have a negative result for leukemia. As we have said before, we go from one test result to the next. Praying each time that the leukemia will not return.

It is so nice having Bill home here with us. Still we know that for him to move on is a sign that his health has improved. As Padraig Pearse wrote in his poem titled The Mother."Lord we suffer in their coming and their going" Nevertheless we have so much to thank God for and with His help we will look forward to brighter days ahead.

We would like to thank all of you who contributed to the walk for Leukemia on Oct. 17th. Bill and his Dad and Katherine and Kaitlyn all joined the walk. Ryan was unable to, as he was working saving lives. I was enjoying a much looked forward to week in Ireland. It was a great success and raised a lot of much needed money for Leukemia Research.

We wish all of you a wonderful Thanksgiving. We will be giving thanks for so much this year.
We will update you on the results of the Houston trip and the bone marrow results as soon as we get them.

Once more, we thank you for your prayers and continued support. We ask for your continued prayers and positive energy and thoughts.
