Bill is the NCAA Champion! - Day 60 - Evening (4/7)

Yes all - Bill ended up winning his own NCAA pool! Congratulations Bill!! Ryan and I can confirm that this is a legitimate win and there was no behind the scenes shenanigans. Congrats to Ryan who came in 2nd and Chris who came in 3rd place. I think the prize for the winner was to buy Bill his first beer when he is feeling better - so Bill gets to buy himself a beer! :)

We had a wonderful weekend. As I mentioned, Tess came to visit on Friday and stayed with Bill at the hospital on Friday night. Mom, Dad, Ryan and I went to a local pub for some fish and chips since it is a Friday during Lent. Bill was then able to come home on Saturday - YEAH! Saturday night, we went to a lovely restaurant in Indianapolis to celebrate Ryan's birthday - it was a lot of fun! The night ended with a Coldstone ice cream birthday cake (yummy!) and yet another dance party :) What can I say, my family likes to turn on the music and dance - Ryan is usually the instigator and my mom quickly joins the dance party!

Bill was feeling good and did not had any reactions to the chemo through the weekend and early this week. He went into the hospital yesterday to take blood work and as suspected, his blood levels are starting to drop. Today was the first day he noticed his energy level dropping and he had a slight headache this evening. He might be going in later this week for a blood transfusion depending on how he is feeling. We pray that his symptoms do not get too much worse!

Frank, Karen, Liam and baby Sophia are arriving from Boston tomorrow night for the Easter weekend - we are all so excited to see them and to meet our new little baby Sophia!

Also, a special congratulations to our cousin Sinead and her husband John on the birth of their little girl - Cara Eileen!!
