Thank you so much for visiting our blog. As you all know, Bill is loved by so many, in so many countries across the world - and we want to make sure you are up to date on his health. The support we have received from our family and friends is truly a blessing and we want to thank you so much. On this blog, I will be giving regular updates on Bill. Please feel free to share comments/ask questions and I will get back to you asap.

A good night's sleep - Day 6 - Morning (2/11)

Hi All - It is hard to believe we are already at Day 6. Bill will be done with this chemo before we know it! He slept really well last night and feels rested today. We have more incredible news about his white blood cell count - they are at 0.400!!! YES, you are reading this correctly - less than 1 - so Bill has virtually none of this nasty white blood cells left in his body! The doctor indicated yesterday that they usually never get to down to actual zero but usually float in the 0.20 range. So he is doing very well and it looks like his cells are pretty chemo sensitive (ie. reacting well to chemo). They did not end up running the MRI last night (long story...including fire alarm drills - I don't know the whole story yet, but sounds like a Grey's Anatomy episode!), but he has done down for it now - so I will let you know how that goes. He seems to be strong and in good form which is more than we can ask for. As Bill said himself, some of you out there must have a direct line to God as he seems to be listening to our prayers!

Bill (and all of his Irish family) will be cheering on the Irish soccer team today - so hopefully they will give us a good game to watch! I will be back this evening!
